God Vishnu’s avatar of Raam teaches many moral values in human life. Here are the things I learned from Ramayan:-
Moral values: Moral values that involve respecting everyone, keeping self-control, and maintaining a clean character. That is why I believe in being a virgin till marriage.
Devotional wife and husband: Raam’s father was a king and had four wives. Raam loved only Sita and married her alone, demonstrating purity of love, commitment, and devotion to his spouse, especially in the form of Goddess Laxmi’s avatar, Sita. Sita decided to leave the royal palace to be with her husband when he was to go into exile in the forests for 14 years. Although Raam insisted that his wife not go into exile with him, as it would be very hard for her, since Sita was also a princess and came from royalty, she insisted on being with her husband wherever he went. Together, they went through 14 years of exile, during which Sita was kidnapped by a demon, and Raam rescued her from the demon as well. During the time she was kidnapped, both Sita and Raam never forgot or gave up on each other.
Calm & Politeness: One of the biggest lessons from Raam’s behaviour is politeness. He remained calm and polite under most adverse circumstances. Raam remained calm and happy even during the exile as he roamed from forest to forest without missing the luxury of his days in the kingdom. He never showed ego.
Always prepared: He would not lose his temper or panic, but he also would not stand idle when threatened; he would not hesitate to attack either. Raam and his brother Laxman always showed how to be prepared for anything in life.
Family values: Despite being sent to exile by his mother, one of his dad’s wives, he never showed any ill thoughts for her, and he also had three brothers, and they all showcased family values, as one of his brother also went to exile with him and one of his other brother refused to manage kingdom as Raam was the eldest of the four brothers and he waited for Raam to return after his exile to manage kingdom.
True potential: Hanuman, a devotee of Sita, Raam and Laxman, who greatly helped Raam fight against the demon and his army, also made me learn a very important lesson. Hanuman was cursed to forget his true abilities till an adverse situation happened, and a well-wisher told him about how powerful he really is, and Hanuman finally remembers his lost powers. It is believed that human beings have a lot of potential; they just need the right circumstances to unlock and realise it.
In general, the life of Sita & Raam shows how to live properly and the potential of a human being, and family values, love, commitment, devotion, including the importance of moral values.
